Pain in palm of my right hand?
, I had some surgery on my right wrist tendent years back due to MVA accident , it was OK but pain sudenly start again . I do try most of the time when pain start and I am on road bike to use airobars and it help a lot . I think that more pain came back thanks to the rougher gravel roads which I must use in winter time for commuting if I do not want to be killed when riding home late at night . I want to use over the winter MTB for this kind of roads , I did try numerous cycling gloves but this do not help much so I want to ask if is there on market spring loaded stem which will help absorb secondary impacts . New Manitou fork work really good but spring loaded stem will help absorb and soften more impacts to the hand . Who manufacture this think ? Thanks for help .
I think Softride, as well as a few other manufacturers, made some about ten years ago. They didn’t work very well. The best way to absorb shock, particularly on a road bike, is bigger tires at a lower pressure.
