Tips Of Buying And Maintain Mountaineering Shoes
Climbing is without your feet, it is wise to choose a professional mountaineering shoes for your feet. Mountaineering shoes are not only for mountaineering, actually they are classified into four styles: Travel, Hiking, Trekking and Mountain boots.
1. Travel shoes is common and leisure for travelling, so they should be comfortable, light and air permeability, and its water proof is not matter.
2. Choosing hiking shoes you should pay attention to their skid proof, wearable, air permeability and comfortable.
3. The standard of Trekking shoes is higher than hiking shoes, therefore besides the basic features they also need to be proof of bumping.
4. As for Mountaineering shoe, the best is Double Shoe. That is because they are suitable for climbing in winter for their multiple functions and can keep your feet warm.
There are some features should be noticed:
It is not true that the tooth is thicker the skid proof is better but its shape and design. The pure rubber is more wearable while the others are easy to flake away. Water proof and air permeability should be combining together; otherwise your feet would bitten by frost. Fro protecting your ankle, knee and waist, the shoes must have high percent proof of bumping. So according to experiences, you should prepare tow pair of socks, put a thin pair inside and a thick pair outside.
Maintaining your mountaineering shoes is very important. There are three steps for you.
1. Clean: you should clean up the dirty things on the surface with brush at first, and wash both shoe body and shoelace with water. Last, wash them with special shoe cleanser which is without bleach.
2. Dry: you should not dry them at cool place, and when they close to dry, you need fill some papers in the shoe to absorb the humidity and to keep the original shape of shoes.
3. Water proof: when the shoes are dry totally, put the special glue on their suture line. Paint some water-proof cream on the surface.
If you your shoes are maintained well, they can be used for a long time.
