Cycling shoes and pedal compatibility help!?
I bought a pair of Sidi Dynamic 3 women’s cycling shoes and my clipless pedals are Shimano SM-SH51. Do I need a pedal adapter or anything? (I included a link to pictures of my old shoe with the cleats and my new Sidi’s) And how do I change over the cleats to my new shoes? If I go to a bike shop, they’d help me out eh?

This is SO helpful!! But if I get new cleats for my shoes then I probably need new pedals as well to match the cleats? Or are pedals versatile?
Yes you can change them over but IMO you’re wasting your time. You are moving them from a MTB shoe to a Road shoe which is going to make standing and walking nearly impossible. The SPD cleat was designed to be used with MTB shoes where it is recessed. The cleat wont stand the of abuse of walking on pavement. They will wear out quickly and in the process it will really make entering (clipping in) a problem say nothing about trying to exit or unclipping. you’ll be replacing the cleats every three months. Best advice would be to either change pedals to (Look or some other type if riding a road bike) or take back the shoes and buy the right type of shoe.
