Completely Torn my ACL, no surgery planned…. should i use SPD (SL) shoes + pedals?
I’m out of a brace, and back to cycling, but I want to know whether I should get spd pedals, or toe clips (straps) and some MTB shoes…
I have a Merida Road Race Light 904….
I’m just looking to see if anyone has had similar experiences, not to be sold a shoe…. I already have one in my sights : Lake’s CX170 
I have the same standard answer for all medically related questions… I’m not a doctor. I don’t have a plaque hanging on the wall. Print up several examples of what you have in mind. Run ‘em by your doctor & see what he thinks.
If it’s healed – I wouldn’t see any reason why you couldn’t go clipless or toe-clips & straps. But your question is worded in a way that I’m not sure. Again…consult a doctor.
