schwinn tourist 700c review?

So ive been researching bikes now for awhile looking fora good road/commuter bike to ride 50-60 miles a week. Im trying to keep it under $400. I saw the Schwinn Tourist 700c bike at Target for $250 but cant find any reviews for it on the net. This is a different bike then the Trail Way. Just curious if anyone knows anything or has any opinions on it. If you could recommend a good bike that i should check out that would be appreciated too.

A road bike under $400? Look on craigslist for a quality used bicycle. RUN – do not walk – run away from any discount or big box store bicycle. I made the same mistake several years ago. Cheap components that don’t hold up under time & use. Ended up buying a complete new rear wheel assembly with upgraded “cassette” gears & a freehub not a freewheel hub. See links below for examples explaining the difference.

Now have more $$$ in this bike in repairs & upgrades than what it’s worth.
